Gary has 35 years of sailing experience on many sailboats from 12-50 feet. He has sailed the Pacific coast of US, Mexico, Central America, and the Panama Canal, the Caribbean, and the Northeast Atlantic Coast for 25 years. He has been sailing the waters of Wellfleet Harbor and Cape Cod for 10 years.

Prior to starting the sailing business, Gary was an ocean lifeguard for Cape Cod National Seashore and the towns of Wellfleet and Orleans over a period of 18 years.

In the offseason Gary is a faculty member at the University of Vermont teaching Community Development and Public Administration. He is a patient teacher and likes kids.

In 2006 Gary received instructor training and became certified as a US sailing small boat instructor.  He plans to attend the keelboat and bareboat instructor courses in the near future.
